Slide AI Translator offers two security processing modes for Office documents (PPTX, DOCX, XLSX). The goal is to give you a simple choice: process your file in secure server memory, or keep the full file entirely in your browser.
- High (Server Processing): Your Office file is uploaded over HTTPS and held in the server’s RAM while processing runs. It is not saved as a permanent file on the server.
- Ultra High (Browser Processing): The full Office file never leaves your computer. Processing runs in your browser; only extracted text is sent for translation. This mode is available on Plus and Pro plans.
Ultra High is ideal for large Office files and highly sensitive workflows, and it works best on desktop/laptop browsers. Mobile browsers often have tighter memory limits, so Slide AI Translator defaults to High mode on mobile devices.
PDF note: PDF translation requires High mode because PDF conversion and rendering happens on the server.
